Developing Crete’s Future Aviation Gateway
The New Heraklion International Airport at Kastelli, Crete is being developed under a 35-year concession awarded by the Greek State. The airport is being delivered through a partnership between GMR Airports Limited and Greek infrastructure company TERNA, combining global airport development expertise with local infrastructure capability.
Once operational, the new airport will serve as the island’s primary aviation gateway, supporting passenger growth and tourism across Crete.
