Aviation Skill Development Center (ASDC) is a skill training center for youth of Goa, established and operated by Manohar International Airport Limited. The objective of ASDC is to impart skills/training to youth of Goa to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship quotients. These skills will make them ready for various types of job opportunities, including those in upcoming establishments like the airport and others in Goa state and elsewhere. The courses conducted at ASDC are aligned to Qualification Packs of the Sector Skill Councils or the State Authority and industry partners. Voltas, Schneider, Maruti Driving School, VDMA are some of the industry partners for their respective skill training programs at ASDC.
Manohar International Airport Limited has constructed the necessary infrastructure required for the ASDC comprising various facilities like classrooms, ICT equipment and various other requirements to impart training/skills to the trainees. Where ever necessary, the students may be required to undergo practical training at other locations out of Goa as may be decided by ASDC so as to get familiarized with the requisite skills. The training to students at ASDC is free of cost except for any specialized trainings at recognized institutions in the country for courses that are not within the purview of ASDC.
A certificate will be issued to the trainees after successful completion of the training.

3 Housekeeping Attendant The individual will learn to clean the internal and external areas of the property such as restrooms, offices, auditorium, lifts, utility rooms, canteen, pantry, and common areas with the help of tools to sweep, scrub, mop, wipe and dispose waste. 2 Months 3 18 10th & above
4 HVAC/RAC Technician Identify and work with different types of HVAC system, Identify the client requirements, prepare a list of solutions, and suggest them to the client. Conduct installation and demonstrate the product to the customer. Rectifies minor problems and replaces faulty modules for failed parts or recommends factory repairs for bigger faults. 3 Months (Centre)+ 1.5 Months OJT 4 18 12th & above
5 Assistant Electrician Recognising, differentiating, and using electrical tools and devices appropriately in basic electrical operation, Selection and use of light units, accessories, fixtures, and tools for installing and maintaining lighting system. 3 Months 3 18 12th & above
6 Light Commercial Driver (Maruti Driving School) Learn to drive Light motor vehicle on state-of-the-art car simulator and real time driving on dual fitment car. 1 Month 18 Must be 18 or above.
The courses are aligned to National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and as per QPs (Qualification Packs) of Sector Skill Councils and/or State Authority.
Instructions to interested Candidates
- Candidates need to fill the application form (download from link below) and submit the hard copy along with the other relevant documents as indicated in the application form OR email to asdc.goa@gmrgroup.in. Candidates need to indicate three preferences of courses in the application.
- After initial screening based on the submitted form and documents, eligible candidates will be called for an assessment to understand the basic knowledge and career inclination of the applicant.
- Post this, individual counselling session will be conducted.
- Preference will be given to applicants from project affected areas followed by applicants from five Panchayats around the airport site, followed by overall Pernem Taluka.
- Candidates to have 80% attendance during the course to be eligible for certification
- Limited number of seats per batch per course. If the applicant does not get seat in the desired course in the first batch, then the same will be entertained for the next cycle of batches.
- Candidates should have completed both doses of vaccination.
