Compensation of Carbon Emissions

To assess GHG emissions, Manohar International Airport operated by Manohar International Airport Limited uses the guidelines of the ACA program and uses location-based emission factors to calculate emissions.

The GHG emissions protocol of Manohar International Airport includes both direct and indirect emissions. The direct emissions occur from the consumption of the airport's energy resources, that are under the direct control of the airport. Indirect emissions consist of the services provided by the airport, but the airport itself is not a consumer and does not have direct control over emissions.

To offset residual greenhouse gas emissions from airport operations (Scope 1 and Scope 2) and business travel, Manohar International purchased verified carbon credits through the VERRA Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) for Scope 1& business travel and I-RECs for Scope 2.

For 2025, Manohar International Airport purchased 272 tCO2e to offset Scope 1 and Business Travel and 15406 MWh from India to offset 10938 tCO2e Scope 2 emissions.

Carbon Credits were retired on 24/03/2026 and I-RECs were retired on 25/03/2026
